Match report – Felbridge B C – 31May22
The first visit made by the BBA to the pretty village Club of Felbridge, where half of the green is deemed to be in Surrey and the other half in Sussex.
Due to the plethora of competitions taking place at this time of the season, combined with injuries and illness, our ranks were somewhat depleted and the game had to be reduced to four Triples.
Sadly, whilst our hosts were most welcoming and accommodating, the “The Weather Gods” were not, although we were able to complete the full number of ends, after a prolonged break for a major downpour.
Very well done to our top rink of Robin Yetman, Val Baker and a guest player and commiserations to that skipped by Colin Watson, which lost by a single shot.
We are hoping that for our next visit in 2023, we can arrange this to be played in late August or early September, when both enhanced player availability and summer weather can be hoped for.
