As expected, we enjoyed a very enjoyable afternoon’s bowling with our friends at Beckenham.
Fortunately, the weather was not too oppressive and the well prepared green was a pleasure to play on.
The BBA won on three rinks out of four and the score was 61 – 58; so a very close game.
Alan Painter played his first game for the BBA and by all accounts, he had a very good game – Thanks, Alan, hope to see you on the green a lot more.
After the game and a session in the pavilion bar, we were treated to a very tasty chicken or vegetable curry – rather different from the usual bowls teas, but very much appreciated.
