Shirley Park is a venue where we are always welcomed and this week was no exception. The match was contested over four triples – the weather was very warm, although the forecast showed a scattering of thunder storms from mid-afternoon. Thankfully they never arrived and we were blessed with a fine afternoon.
BBA started well and although close, we always had our noses in front. There are often times in games where the tide turns and the losing team goes ahead but not today; BBA had good wins in three of the triples and stretched away for a final match score of 70-53. Our top triple was that of Keith Atkins, Val Baker and Ed Rochford who won by 24-11.
Keith was taking the game for BBA and it is notable that in the latest two games where Keith has been in charge, we have had fine wins, although he is certain his time for leadership is over – for now. That may be so but thank you Keith, for leading BBA to another morale boosting victory.
