A lovely day for a trip to the seaside (or as it happens a Bowls Green behind Worthing Football Club) saw a strong turnout for the Match with five rinks and a triple taking place, and several BBA guests watching in comfort and warmth.
On what was generally a well-worn, fast, and on some rinks a tricky green, we came out with great credit in losing by just 8 shots, buoyed by an extraordinary achievement out on rink 6 by our top team of Judy Morris, Tas Alder, Clive Rogers, and skip Carolyne Stevens who won 28-11, oh my word!!!!
The host Club were very friendly and most welcoming, most of us who travelled by car managed to find a space in the car park, whilst our intrepid train takers arrived eventually.
Their new caterers and bar staff were a ‘’huge hit’’ although on a personal note I’m not sure that I need to be reminded of Christmas in early September!!!!
A most enjoyable day out and although not quite a ‘’win’’ it did feel like one.
