After rearranging the teams several times we ended up with 21 players playing a full game and 2 playing half each. This was split to have two rinks and one triple. Sutton were extremely helpful in providing their green for this game which was played in a great spirit and was keenly contested.
Our President ,Glynis Atkins led one team against a team led by our Junior Vice President Margaret Gordon.
The scores always seemed to be going the way of the JVP and at one stage the scores were 30-50 with only a few ends to play on each rink however the President’s team made a rousing comeback and with one end to play, it was conceivable that the tables could have been turned but Margaret’s team hung on with the final score being 49-55 to the JVP team. The JVP’s top rink was the triple of Delyth Rowland, Terry Franklin and skipped by Peter Humphrey. The President’s top rink was the rink of Glynis Atkins, Barbara Rochford who played half a game with Mark Broughton, John Rook and skipped by Richard Scrimshaw.
