Flushed with the euphoria of the previous week’s first win of the Indoor season, players arrived with the intention of continuing this running streak and it was good to see we turned out another six-rink team – (well done Mark!!)
Disappointingly, the BBA had a sluggish start and by the time of the tea break, the rink scores position was drawing 1, winning 1 and losing the remaining 4.
Nevertheless, the players played some good woods which, on other days would have resulted in producing more shots.
The final position was a 47-shot defeat but President Ian put on a brave face for the after-meal speech, when even the Raffle prizes favoured the home side!!
However, it must be noted that although the shots difference was high, the BBA won on 2 rinks, drew on a further 2 rinks and it should be commented on that the highest scoring Bromley rink was skipped by a BBA member!!
The top BBA Rink was Mary Bird – (new bowler to the BBA – well done, Mary!!); Anne Saunders; David Evans; and President Ian (again!)
