With Worthing cancellation and Crystal Palace folding, Wey Valley yesterday was our only February fixture
The game itself was contested over 6 rinks , and sadly, BBA got off to an horrific start, losing the first end on every rink leaving us 16-0 down straight away!!
The green was very quick and was not an easy one for us to adapt to.
During the first hour, shots were exchanged and at one stage we were only ten shots behind, but that was as close as we got and the margin grew during the afternoon.
The game was conducted in good spirit and we were very well looked after, as the Wey Valley team was organised by a BBA member, Carolyne Stevens, who arranged for the match meal to be a delicious Pork joint and a scrumptious Lemon Meringue pie for dessert.
It could be said that the meal was the best thing for the BBA all afternoon, but it should be noted that we did win on two rinks, but the final result of 160-102 was very convincing in favour of Wey Valley. Our top rink included two of our guests and was Jean Smith, Keith Atkins, Terry Franklin and Andrew Granatt – well done to them.
The programme gets very busy in March where we have six fixtures and I look forward to seeing you all during the month.
